Ant-Man is the Marvel Studios film and the 12th film in the MCU that is directed by Peyton Reed and released in 2015. After the leave of Edgar Wright, the film did face a bit of a scare, but regardless it was still a good and fun film to watch as it did something unique.

The film stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang was a huge shocker, like what?! Paul Rudd as a superhero?! And he did great! The film also stars Michael Douglas as Hank Pym and Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, both were great in the film and worked well with Rudd, especially with his humor. Michael Pena also stars as Luis and he honestly steals the show as he's hilarious in the film. Corey Stoll as Darren Cross was pretty interesting. The reason why he was good was that he was understandable, it was understandable why he hated Hank Pym.

The film is about Hank Pym getting former thief Scott Lang to become Ant-Man and protect the Ant-Man technology from getting into the wrong hands. This film is practically a heist film with ants and worked perfectly. The film does have a heartwarming story too as Scott is wanting to do good for his daughter and be there for her. I also liked how it introduced another part of the MCU with the Quantum Realm. The film is of course funny as humor is part of Paul Rudd's personality which made the humor feel natural and not forced. It had great visuals and the CGI with Darren Cross Yellowjacket's suit was amazing. The shrinking, growing and the ants all looked great in the film. And one thing is that I feel like it has a bit of Edgar Wright's influence with this film as he was originally supposed to direct it and wrote a screenplay.

A flaw with the film is that whole Darren Cross was a good villain, his plot is similar to Obadiah Stane from the first Iron Man movie. I also wish it could have explored more of Cross and Pym's relationship, and Pym as Ant-Man.

Overall this was another great addition to the MCU as it is nothing big but it's a fun film to watch. It's a fun MCU film that introduces new things and it worked with what they were going for.
