Thor: Love and Thunder is the 29th MCU film and the 4th Thor film as it is directed by Taika Waititi and released in 2022. This movie seems to have gotten mixed reactions but I honestly enjoyed it.

The film stars Chris Hemsworth returning as Thor who once again does great as Thor as he's hilarious and even more mighty. Natalie Portman also returns Jane Foster who becomes The Mighty Thor and she honestly nails it as the film does her character justice as she now kicks ass. It was great to see Thor and Jane's relationship be written better. The film also has Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Taika Waitit as Korg, which both were great, Valkyrie is one of the best characters in the film as she sometimes steals the show. The film also has Christian Bale as Gorr who is probably one of the top MCU villains as he can be terrifying at times. Also, Russell Crowe as Zeus was hilarious.

The film is about Thor having to team up with Valkyrie, Korg, and the Mighty Thor to stop Gorr the God Butcher from butchering all gods. The action scenes in the film were great as they seemed a lot of fun, but the black and white action scene was top tier as that was just epic. The visuals were also great for the most part and better than the trailers as they used StageCraft to film it. One thing though is that while the film is pretty much a comedy, it does have its serious moments too that can get kind of dark.

The film does have its flaws but it is no way worse than the first two Thor films. The film does need to be longer as it's short and could benefit with maybe 20 more minutes. I don't know why Marvel wants to shorten films now, I guess after the criticism of Eternals being too long. Also after serious scenes then there will be jokes which doesn't bother me much but I think it happened due to the shorter runtime.

Overall the film was a blast to watch. It was hilarious and fun. It's not one of those films to be taken super seriously like Infinity War and Endgame. It's just a film to laugh at and enjoy and it achieves that.
