Guardians of the Galaxy is the Marvel Studios film and the 10th film in the MCU that is directed by James Gunn and released in 2014. This film was a shocker for many. Many believed it was going to be a huge flop due to the characters being extremely unknown. But it ended up being a hit and loved by many. It is such a beautiful well-made film.
We are introduced to a group of A-Holes as Chris Pratt plays Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana plays Gamora, Dave Bautista plays Drax, Bradley Cooper voices Rocket Raccoon, and Vin Diesel voiced Groot. All of the actors gave heart to the characters that makes one love the group and care for them. One that was shocking to me was Dave Bautista, I watched wrestling for years and it is shocking seeing him in a Marvel film. The film also stars Michael Rooker as Yondu, Karen Gillan and Nebula, and Lee Pace as the antagonist Ronan who all were great in the film and fun to watch as their characters felt unique that made the viewer invested in them. Even with characters played by Glenn Close and John C. Reilly. All the characters are just great.
The film is about a group of criminals whose paths intertwine with each other and must save the Galaxy as Ronan wants the Power Stone. The story had a lot of heart and each of the characters had great chemistry with each other. It makes one care for this group of terrible beings as they become heroes. The visuals were amazing and beautiful in many scenes. The film has great action as each character got to show what they are capable of doing. The film also does have great music too as it is fun to watch the Awesome Mix go with the scenes and it is great music to listen to also.
A minor flaw I have with the film is that I wish it could have explored more with the characters and their motives.
Overall this is one of the best MCU and comic book films as James Gunn just nailed it by making a film about unknown characters and making them beloved by many. This is such a fun film and it is one I never get tired of.
