Spider-Man: Homecoming is the Marvel and Sony film that is the 16th film in the MCU that is directed by Jon Watts and released in 2017. This is the third Spider-Man reboot as Sony literally killed the TASM franchise and began a partnership with Marvel. But finally, we got a Spider-Man film in the MCU!

Tom Holland stars as Spider-Man and he is a perfect Peter Parker. He does his own thing that is different from the previous ones which are great as he is unique. He is amazing in the role as he brings this teen charm to the role as Peter is a teen in this film. Michael Keaton stars as the antagonist the Vulture who did great in the film as we understand the reasons for his crimes. He lived long enough to see himself become the villain. The film also stars Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Zendaya, and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man who all were great in the film and had good chemistry with Tom. I did like the idea of having Peter and May young as we can see this aunt and nephew relationship grow over time in the film.

The film is about Peter being a high school student and being Spider-Man as the two lifestyles balance out as he is trying to become an Avenger. What I liked is how him being in High School is a main focus in the film and is important as in the other films it's forgettable that he's a high school student. The film does include a great score I loved the Spider-Man theme in this, great visuals that worked for the most part, and great Spidey action that proves why he is the best.

Some flaws that there are with the film are obviously the marketing as Sony likes to spoil things in the trailers, the movie posters suck, them obviously using RDJ in the posters and trailers to get more money, and there is this one twist in the film near the end that felt a bit forced in. Other than that the story itself was great.

Overall this is a great Spider-Man film. It is different and unique than the previous films with Tobey and Andrew. This is not Iron Man 4, this is Spider-Man, and it is a great Spider-Man movie.
